This is Everyone’s Dream Rec Center! 2 Full basketball courts, area to play pool and air hockey! A huge pool with slides, hot tub, lazy river and sauna and steam room! This place never disappoints! If you stop by in Longmont check out this place for fun!
Great Rec Center. We mostly use the pool. The pool and hot tub are nice. The kids like the slides. Upstairs can get too crowded at times.
Great climbing wall! The routes are challenging for adults and also accessible to kids. The staff are super helpful in showing kids how to climb!
Where do I start?
I would like to give them more stars, but their child care is lacking in service times & they seem to have more classes geared towards age 50+ or class times are for people who can work from home and have more flexibility in their time.
Much of their equipment needs to be updated and in some areas, the equipment is too close to the stairwell. Their bathrooms are not clean especially for those of us who have kids. They seem over staffed in some areas, and lacking in others.
The only reason I give 2 starts is due to having kind employees and trainers.
Once I see changes, I'll definitely give more stars.
First rec I've been to that doesn't have it freezing inside the pool area so I was actually able to swim with my little one without her starting to shiver in less than ten minutes. I wish there was better communication about the slides and things and when they were turned back on, I was told both while calling and once we got there that at 6:15 the slides would come back on, only for them to never be turned back on. Just meant some very disappointed kiddos, so clear communication about that would be great but other wise we enjoyed it and will be coming back
The rec center has always been fairly average for a rec center - which is fine. There are absolutely no enforced rules in the pool area. I'm not like "don't let kids ever jump" or anything, but me and my toddlers were being used as cover for a 10+ person water gun game. While it'd make a really great movie scene and was probably hysterical to watch, my 2 year old didn't find it super funny and we'll have to find kid friendly places in the future. If it were just us as adults it would have been fine though since we could have moved easily out of the kid area.
I love our rec center. In the last 10 years it's improved a bit and the staff come and go but I've never met anyone who wasn't pleasant.
